FRONT ROOM MUSIC ALBUM - ARTIST BIOS MICHAEL LUCAS If memory serves me (and it sometimes does), my radio friend Paul Harbison introduced me to Michael Lucas and his awesome music around 1972. I was not quite prepared for the extraordinary talent of this singer-songwriter, but quickly became a friend and avid fan. I haven't seen or heard from Mike in over twenty years, but when I think of him, two words come to mind...humble and spiritual. These are far more than words in the case of Mike Lucas. As I fondly recalled in the liner notes of the FRM ALBUM, he and I played live one day at Denver's premier free-form radio station KFML...circa 1974, and two years later were thrilled to both be counted among the eleven artists to grace the KBPI Colorado Album LP. Michael's offering was HAWK, a powerfully visual song which he later revisited as a member of the ROBIN BANKS BAND. Sadly, only a couple of rare recordings survived from that period, but upon discovering my personal recording of Mike Lucas' RAIN TREE, I felt strongly compelled to include it on the FRM CD. Now, you too can appreciate Mike's marvelous gift! ORDER FORM MUSIC
