CONCERT EVENTS AT SWALLOW HILL IN DENVER

May 3, 2007 at SWALLOW HILL CAFE in Denver was a relaxed and intimate evening of music and friends. Jim was accompanied by his long-time pal on the musical trail, "Ranger" Butch Hause, Colorado's premiere bass man. Leslie sang a duet with Jim on "Tale of Two", which they co-wrote.

ON STAGE AT SWALLOW HILL CAFE / JIM WITHERS AND DAUGHTER STORY LYNN

JOHN MACY, JIM, "RANGER" BUTCH / TERRY LEWIS, NOREEN MELLIADIAS, MARY LOVE, NICK MELLIADIS

June 4, 2011 at HARRY TUFT THEATRE Jim returned to Swallow Hill to celebrate his latest CD release - "Blues for Stephen Foster" and reunite with Colorado friends. The incredible kindness and respect of the Swallow Hill folks really made us feel welcome. Once again, "Ranger" Butch Hause played bass, with Ernie Martinez featured soloist on mandolin and dobro. Leslie joined in on percussion and backing/duet vocals. Sarah Lincoln (Mrs. "Ranger") added her lovely voice on several songs as well. Jim's performance soared to the rafters that night, lifted up by the awesome love and friendship filling the chapel-like hall. What a rush! (But watch out for those speakers when you are coming off the stage). Photos at left and below are by Phil Borgeson
